POPAT/ SOPAT/ PARE- CANCELLED

*** TESTING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AT CFB ESQUIMALT***

Prac­tice and Offi­cial Test­ing takes place at Nixon gym locat­ed at 1367 Vic­to­ria View Rd on the CFB Esquimalt Mil­i­tary Base, Vic­to­ria, BC. Park­ing is free for par­tic­i­pants. Par­tic­i­pants are to arrive at 9:30 am to get checked in. The gym is not open to par­tic­i­pants pri­or to 9:30am. Par­tic­i­pants must bring a piece of gov­ern­ment issued pho­to I.D. We rec­om­mend you wear ath­let­ic cloth­ing and clean dry run­ning shoes with good tread. We also rec­om­mend you lim­it caf­feine intake on the morn­ing of your test­ing. Par­tic­i­pants must remain on site until all par­tic­i­pants have com­plet­ed their testing.

Note: Par­tic­i­pants must have a rest­ing blood pres­sure of equal to or less than 160/90 on the morn­ing of test­ing. If you have any blood pres­sure con­cerns please obtain a doc­tors note show­ing your BP at equal to or less than 160/90. This doc­tors note must be writ­ten with­in a 2 week time frame of your practice/ offi­cial test.

Par­tic­i­pants must com­plete and sign the below doc­u­ments and pro­duce them in hand on the date of their train­ing, prac­tice, and offi­cial testing:

PARE Test­ing: You may reg­is­ter for a PARE Prac­tice test. Although we are cer­ti­fied to facil­i­tate PARE Offi­cial test­ing our stairs have 6 steps vs 5 steps mak­ing the test slight­ly more chal­leng­ing. If this meets the test­ing require­ments of the agency you are apply­ing for we have no issue facil­i­tat­ing an offi­cial test and issu­ing you an offi­cial test cer­tifi­cate pend­ing your suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion.
